Analysis of Psychological Variables of Achievement Motivation and Personality Inventory among University Women Handball Players

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analysis of achievement motivation and personality inventory among Inter University Handball women players. Subjects For this study, sixty Inter University Handball women players from Calicut University, Madras University, Bharathidasan University and Pondicherry University were selected and their age ranged from 18-28 years as per the university norms. The subjects selected from south Zone Inter University Handball women tournament held at Bharathidasan University for the academic year 2013-2014. Achievement motivation and personality inventory were selected as dependent psychological variables. Achievement motivation questionnaire was designed by Kamlesh and The Eysenck Personality Inventory Questionnaire is used by psychologists to gauge the personality traits of an individual. The questionnaire was designed by Mr. and Mrs. Hans J. Eysenck based on the theory that an individual’s personality is inherited. Descriptive statistics (Mean& Standard deviation) and analysis of variance ANOVA were used analyze and to find out the significant difference, if any between the (university) group for selected variables. To test the significance the level of confidence was fixed at .05 Data were analyzed using SPSS (statistical package for social science) version 11.5. There was no significant difference was occurred among different universities women Handball players on achievement motivation and personality inventory.
