Regional Disparities of Socio- Economic Development in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra (India)

Abstract :

The Ahmadnagar district in Maharashtra state has been selected for the present study. Rural economy is almost an
agro based economy, weak to various climatic and socio-economic factors. In the agricultural development is low.
However, irrigation has caused the materialization of agriculturally developed regions. This kind of regional variation has been observed within a tahsil level study is carried out. It may be assumed that social development is well reflected on all over economic development of the study area. Socio economic position depends on social amenities, agricultural development and economic activities with the inter position areal or regional physical and climatic aspects.
